Club Packet Radio System

SBARC maintains and operates a VHF packet radio node located on Buck Mountain near Ruidoso, NM. Packet radio is a reliable, robust digital mode allowing terminal-to-terminal, bulletin board, and personal mailbox services, all independent of the Internet. Information on accessing our VHF packet node is provided below:

Frequency: 145.010 MHz

Alias: BUCK

Call Sign: KR5NM-1

Other New Mexico packet nodes which users may access to connect to BUCK include CLOUDV, SCREST, and CAPILA.

There are plans to install a local packet BBS in the near future. Monitor this web page, or the SBARC Packet Discussion Forum for the latest news.
