Club Packet Radio SystemSBARC maintains and operates a VHF packet radio node located on Buck Mountain near Ruidoso, NM. Packet radio is a reliable, robust digital mode allowing terminal-to-terminal, bulletin board, and personal mailbox services, all independent of the Internet. Other New Mexico packet nodes which users may access to connect to BUCK include CLOUDV, SCREST, and CAPILA. There are plans to install a local packet BBS in the near future.
